Coldwater Courier, Coldwater, Mich. May 23, 1910 Isaiah W. Crist died last Friday, May 20, at his home in Butler township from cancer of the stomach, having been a great sufferer during the past several months, and was buried yesterday at the Girard cemetery. The funeral services were held at the home, Rev. O.B. Martin officiating, and was largely attended by friends. Mr. Crist was a member of the Modern Woodmen and that order participated in the conduct of the funeral and burial. Mr. Crist was born in Carroll county, Ohio, Dec. 9, 1849, and came to Branch county to live in 1898, moving here from Illinois. He was united in marriage to Miss Tempa Johnson Oct. 21, 1882, and to them were born six children: Mrs. Glem Burleson and Mrs. Fred Smith of Butler, Mrs. Glen Brewster of Girard, and John, Roy and Zella, all of whom live with their parents. Mr. Crist also leaves a brother, John Crist, of Fremont, Ind., but formerly of Coldwater, and one sister, Mrs. Susan Disbro of Montpelier, Ohio. | ||
