This indenture made and entered into this 5th day of January 1853 between
Adron Canada of the one part and John Hatfield of the other part
witnessed that for and in consideration of three hundred dollars to him
in hand paid the receipt hereby acknowledged hath given granted bargained
and sold and delivered unto the said Hatfield his heirs and assigns all
and singular a certain tract or parcel of land situated and being on
Blackberry Creek a branch of Tug River Fork of Sandy River and in the
County of Pike and State of Kentucky and bounded as follows to wit
beginning on a Wahoo on the east side of Blackberry Creek below when the
said Andrew Canada now lives running to sycamore as of the creek to a
white oak thence up the creek on the west side to gut(?) and corner on a
white oak thence running across the creek to the east side to a beech on
the front of a ridge thence running down the creek on the east side to
the beginning so as to include the land in said boundary with its
appurtenances to have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with
its appurtenance unto the said John Hatfield and his heirs from and said
Andrew Canada will warrant and defend the said tract or parcel of land
from him and his heirs forever against the claim or claims of all every
or persons whatsoever doth and will forever warrant against by these
present in witness whereof the said Andrew Canada together with Margret
Canada his wife who hereby relinquished her right of dower in and to the
lands conveyed in the deed hath hereunto set their hands and seal. Andrew

A Copy of a 100 Acre Survey made in the name of John Hatfield bearing
date Jan 31st 1861 and bounded as follows to wit; beginning on a poplar
and beech standing on the point of a ridge on the upper side of the mouth
of Diles Branch thence running down said point N14 E28 poles to two
beeches corner tree of G. Hatfield survey thence running with the calls
here of up said branch on the left hand side N81 W104 poles to a stake
N49 W44 poles to a beech on the bank of the first left hand fork thence
crossing the calls thereof and running up said left hand fork on the
right hand side West 160 poles to a stake thence S35 E30 poles to a stake
S61 E44 poles to a stake thence N82 E150 poles to the beginning. Wm.
