to Rebecca FIDLER, dated 9/6/1788. Notation: "This is to certify that
Steward Hatfield has served his time nearly out and I give my mutual
consent with his own choice to marry if he please, and I believe that
both partys has no objections and you'll be pleased to grant the said
Steward Hatfield licence. Given under my hand this 6th day of September
1788. WM. WOODSIDE." (misspellings per doc.)
